Guess most girls like me, have to admit …
WE LOVE SHOPPING
So YESS me to! Fashion & clothes are just my life, and when I can give people advice on what to wear or what to buy … it just makes me so happy !
I have some stores where that I (as an *aspie) can shop and have a great time. Other stores have to advoid and just walk further and not walk in.
Here in Belgium I really like stores like H&M (but only the store in Mechelen, others are a NO), Zara (but only in the mornings on weekdays or Thursday afternoon), and some Belgian stores like Modemakers and Zeb (both are selling the brands like Jacqueline de Yong, Only, Vila Clothes and Vero Moda).
Than you have C&A which is very popular with the older generation but which is horrible to find normal trendy clothes. For kids and men they have some good pieces from time to time.
For people my age, it’s hard to find trendy, goodlooking clothes. When you finally see something that you really like … you only can buy it online because it’s not available in the stores in Flemish Belgium. Which sucks !
I’m one of those people who always walk by a C&A store and I never do the effort to have a look inside the stores. Because I know I wont find one good thing (that is not a basics plain black t-shirt).
Thursday December 28, 2017
Last Thursday I went to a local C&A store here in my area. I went with my brother who needed new clothes.
Just a little note … the store opens at 9.30 am on Thursday and we were there before 10am.
First impression …
Are we going to find some mice or rats here ?
It was just a mess, a total mess. I mean the store was open for 20 minutes how can it be that messy ?? Do they leave the store at the evening and leave it like that without cleaning, without putting everything back on his place?
Do they know what a Swiffer duster is? Do they know that people don’t buy clothes when the store is that dumping ground?
This was the look at the mens section, women was worst. Also shirts, jackets, pants all of that was put together without order.
After trying on 5 pants with the same size, only one of those pants was good. WTF? All the same size and even all different from size. Oh yess, that’s C&A you have to fit everything !
The moment we left, there was a crane in front of the entrance/exit door. We thought what’s that crane doing here’?
When we were outside we saw it ! OMGosh they were working on the light screen ‘C&A’ above the entrance/exit. So tools or even the crane could just fall down on the customers ! Not a great time to start working when everybody is entering and leaving the store.
Picture i took before entering the store. So this was the place where they were working on that C&A lightboard.
Online shopping at C&A
In the past I did some online shopping at C&A. It was only a hell when I recieved the package.
When I order a 36 I really need a normal 36 like in all other stores. But when you order a EU (normal) size 36 you always get the BE size so a EU 34. With all the respect but I could never fit my legs in a 34 !!
Many times I mailed them, told it at work but nobody did something about it. So it was NOOOO to buy at C&A online for the rest of my life. As a fashionlover & lifestyleblogger I will never do a review here on my blog on something I like and bought at C&A. So sorry for that!
Other great stores
So why shopping at C&A here in Belgium as you have some other great shops in the area that sell beautiful & trendy clothes. So it will be my pleasure to give you all some reviews about my favorite clothes and favorite stores.
C&A in other countries
In other countries like Germany C&A has sometimes really lovely clothes. Sometimes, not always. But as told … those are never for sale in Belgium.
So when you have kids, have/are a man, a teenager you can find some clothes but when you are like 25-40 it’s kind of impossible to find ‘young’ trendy clothes. The clockhouse brand is too young for when you’re over 25, the Jessica collection in Belgium is more for when you’re 40 or older. And the other collections are just for people who are 60+.
It really time for C&A to get the focus on the young adult group, the group who’s so inspired by the internet, by blogs, by YouTube, by Social Media. Everything who see on those inspiring people, you can’t find at C&A.
I love to give advice to people about fashion and looking good, but I will never go to a C&A store again to give some advice to a young lady (guys are okay).
Tomorrow the sales are starting in Belgium. If their store there looked like that before the sales, than it will be an explosing tomorrow or the next few days.
All people who are looking for sales from 70% off, but what is really the collection from a few years ago.
Next time I need to go to a C&A store for some men clothes … I will go to another store not this one, only if it’s clean (and really safe) to go shopping.
What’s your favorite brand? Do you love to shop at C&A, if so how does that store look?
Love Lucy xx
